At Australian College of Future Education (ACOFE), we offer the TLI41222 Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training, which is recognized by the Motor Vehicle Registry (MVR) Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics in the Northern Territory. Upon completing our course, you’ll have the opportunity to work for yourself or any registered driving school in the NT.

Our qualification is designed for those engaged in driving instructor job roles within the MVR. You’ll develop a range of skills, including:

– Evaluating and analyzing current practices
– Developing new criteria and procedures
– Providing leadership and guidance to others

This course requires an initial deposit of $1500. The remaining balance must be paid before the commencement of practical training.

Please note that a fully qualified trainer/assessor with over 10 years of industry experience will deliver the practical training in Melbourne.

How to Apply

Step 1: Complete the TLI41222 – Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training

Step 2: Submit the following documents listed below to the MVR

  • a complete medical assessment of fitness to drive (L2) form (must not be older than six months)
  • National Police Certificate issued in the NT
  • Traffic offence history issued in the NT
  • Your Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics
  • Current NT driver licence.

Step 3: Pay for and get your driving instructor endorsement.

NOTE: Your application is unlikely to be accepted if you have:

  • been convicted of any sexual, fraud, financial, violent, drug-related or theft offences
  • a history of driving offences, licence disqualifications or suspensions.
