How to Apply
In NSW, in addition to completing this course, you must obtain a Letter of Eligibility from the TfNSW to be able to receive your Driving Instructor Licence. You need to undergo a series of checks and tests to obtain this letter. You must:- Hold a full licence (for 3 out of the last 4 years)
- Pass a medical exam
- Pass an instructor-specific DKT (Driver Knowledge Test)
- Pass a Driving Test (manual or automatic, depending on the type of vehicle you wish to use for training)
- Pass a working with children check
When these requirements are met, the TfNSW issues your Letter of Eligibility.
